The various sources of media have been incorporated into our logo to express the agenda of the conference- Media Literacy- in an obvious sense. Additionally, the lines connecting these sources of media to the human figures are symbolic of how our knowledge and opinions significantly stem from the consumption of information that is portrayed in the media.

Yūgen is a Japanese philosophical discipline that plays an integral part in our lives as a principle to pave way for change and awakening. Its heavy influence of Buddhist tradition considers a source as either evolving from or dissolving into nothingness. It is the fair line between the known and unknown. Due to its vast and frankly indefinite meaning, the word only brings meaning in context.
In the present climate, Media Literacy is of utmost importance for the youth. The ability to recognise different types of media and understand the nature of the messages they are sending is a crucial skillset that is necessary to navigate the age of ‘fake news’ and ‘cancel culture’. Moreover, the malignancy of misinformation must be combatted by enabling the youth to acquire a comprehensive education with regards to the forces of media that govern today’s world.
The learning focus of this virtual conference encompasses the 21st-century approach to education- Media Literacy. Delegates will be encouraged to deliberate over the myriad of implications accompanying misinformation in the absence of media literacy. In addition to that, they will not only critically analyze the essence of the problem but also be stimulated to formulate viable solutions for the same. Yūgen 2.0 imparts an excellent opportunity for the delegates to explore and express a multitude of substantial notions and opinions. Furthermore, each delegate will become an integral member of the Yūgen 2.0 ensemble over the course of the conference. Team Yūgen 2.0, recognizes the urge for change, awakening, and the search for truth and answers. Together, we stand a chance to make a change in the world. We look forward to a fruitful and enlightening conference.
